UAE economy minister to visit Britain seeking trade deal
Islam News – The Emirati economy minister, Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, and a high-level delegation are leaving for the United Kingdom this week, the ministry said.
Marri is scheduled to meet with British officials and representatives from the private sector to discuss trade ties and ways to boost cooperation in various fields, including in the energy sector.
Last week, the United Arab Emirates announced a plan to invest 10 billion pounds ($13.8 billion) in Britain over the next five years.
The British government is one of the UAE’s main non-oil trade partners in Europe. Trade between the two countries has reached nearly $8.1 billion in 2020.
