Islam News – Tartous – First Syrian-made cargo ship ” Farah Star ” was floated on Saturday , in preparation for the launch of its first voyages around the world . The ship manufactured with local expertise.
The ship was floated at Banias port amid large official and popular crowds.
The ship’s total tonnage is 567 tons , length 35 m , 8.10 wide and equipped with tow engines , each with a capacity of 750 horsepower, and fuel tanks that are enough to sail for a whole month without the need to refuel , SANA reported .
