Three mysterious incidents in Iran, Is Israel behind?

Islam News –  By Khawla Aljurdi – Iran has witnessed several different security incidents within hours . Iran says that these incidents could be acts of sabotage.

One of Iran’s largest navy ships sank on Wednesday after catching fire in the Gulf of Oman near the Iranian port of Jask under unclear circumstances, local news agencies reported.

Iran’s army said nearly 400 crew and trainees were on board the vessel, and that all were safely evacuated.

Iranian officials offered no cause for the fire.

The ship’s fire comes one day after two military pilots of Iran died on Tuesday in the Vahdati Air Force Base in the southwestern Iranian city of Dezful due to a “technical failure” of a F-5 training plane, official news agency IRNA reported.

The Special Governor of Dezful, Ali Farahmandpour, stressed that the accident happened on the ground, not during or after a flight, adding that the circumstances are being investigated by a team sent to Dezful from Tehran.

In the latest developments, Iran witnessed another incident, a massive fire broke out on Wednesday night in the oil refinery serving the Iranian capital, which led to the rise of thick columns of black smoke over Tehran.

Repeated security incidents carry many indications , came amid heightened tensions between Iran, Israel  and the United States .  It may be a war raging in the shadows . Iran blames Israel for the accidents and says it is possible for Israel to have an invisible hand in these incidents.

Israel is critical seeks to limit Iran’s power, citing terrorism and security fears.

Netanyahu announced, on Tuesday, the continuation of action against Iran to prevent it from acquiring a nuclear weapon.

In recent months Iran and Israel have accused each other of targeting their vessels at sea.

In April, Iran said one of its vessels, the Saviz, had been targeted in the Red Sea, after media reports said the ship had been attacked with limpet mines.

Earlier , Iran accused Israel of attacking the Natanz nuclear site.

It is noteworthy that several mysterious explosions began in 2019 targeting ships in the Gulf of Oman. The US Navy later accused Iran of targeting the ships with fibrous mines and timed explosives that divers usually attach to the ship’s hull.

Tension escalated between the United States and Iran after then-US President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew America from Tehran’s 2015 nuclear deal with world powers.
